Pre-KPreschoolers explored a multitude of artistic practices during this project. They started by exploring color mixing. Each student got a piece of red and blue model magic. They were asked to mix the colors together to see what new color it made! To their excitement they made purple! Once they formed a sphere with their clay, they used pipe cleaners to create different line designs to ultimately form their very own unique sculpture!

5th Grade Better late than never! 5th grade students created their snowman styrofoam printing plates during the winter months, and on their last day of art class they were able to print them! Aren't they cute!
6th Grade Wow, am I in love with these beautiful landscapes the 6th graders created today!! Since I am a painter in my spare time, I decided to do an open paint with the students where they could listen to my thought process and follow along while creating their own painting. Students had the option to copy my work or take my teaching into their own direction. Here are the outstanding results:
4th Grade Fourth grade students completed their unit on paper sculpture by creating a radial origami design. They started by folding four pieces in the same color to create a rotating design and kept building onto their idea until they felt they had a complete piece of artwork.
Fifth Grade Students explored printmaking today using plastic zip-lock bags. They applied paint directly to the plastic bag manipulating it with a paintbrush, scratching into it, and by overlapping colors. Students then placed the bag, paint side down, onto a white piece of paper. Some students did this process a few times to get overlapping designs. Here are some of the creative results!
