4th Grade 4th graders finished their unit on Egyptian art by creating Egyptian bust drawings. Students started with a pencil drawing on black sulphite paper. Students were encouraged to draw big and use simple lines and shapes. They then traced their drawings using an elmer's glue bottle. Once dried, the students used chalk pastel to complete their artwork. Students practiced overlapping the chalk to create vibrant rich colors.

3rd graders love cave art and so do I! As you can see from all the lovely artwork below, students were able to create some beautiful cave drawings using chalk pastel along with some cave etchings into ceramic clay.
Wow are these landscapes that the third graders made just beautiful! Students started with a pencil drawing on black paper and then used Elmer's bottle glue to draw over their lines. After the glue was dry, students applied chalk pastel and explored the technique of mixing and overlapping colors.
