These gorgeous works of art were completed in three class periods. The first day, students painted the sky by mixing blue and white directly onto their papers. On day two, students added grass texture using a fork as their paintbrush! On the final day, students used cotton balls to paint their flowers. I just love how unique each of these young artists made their work!
Preschool flower paintings! Preschoolers were given the prompt to paint a picture of spring! They were encouraged to include flowers in their paintings. Here are the beautiful results!
There is something very magical that happens when children are allowed to explore with drawing on their own. Today, preschool students shared a large piece of white paper and were allowed to draw anything they wanted. The results demonstrate a variety of ideas, interests, and abilities. More importantly, the work demonstrates the individuality and creativity of each child. Here is a sample of their beautiful drawings!
Pre-KPreschoolers explored a multitude of artistic practices during this project. They started by exploring color mixing. Each student got a piece of red and blue model magic. They were asked to mix the colors together to see what new color it made! To their excitement they made purple! Once they formed a sphere with their clay, they used pipe cleaners to create different line designs to ultimately form their very own unique sculpture!
Students in pre-k have been practicing using scissors all quarter long! We have focused on how to hold the scissors safely and how to cut correctly. Here you can see students cutting different pieces out of construction paper to create a confetti collage.
